d 15 b ignition advance.
Greetings.Maybe someone here can help.I have a d15b with a few simple bolt ons,4-2-1 header ,de cat pipe,long induction kit.I run the car on 95 octane fuel,would it benefit from advancing/ retarding the ignition timing.Appreciate any sensible suggestions.

You can benefit by setting it to the high side of spec. For example, if the spec for your car is 16+/- 2 (and I'm not saying that it is), then 18 degrees advanced is most likely going to give you the most power without risking detonation, poor fuel economy and emissions.
The only real way to know is to tune it on a dyno. But it generally isn't cost effective unless you're also tuning at least a cam gear and a fpr.
