CYP Sensor Check Engine Light
What's up ya'll!
So, I've had this problem for over a year now. My code reader says CMP Sensor A p1381. I know the car has a CYP sensor, not a CMP sensor, in the distributor. Here's where it gets fun!
I went through two Napa distributors and the code came back within 3 days. I took it to Honda, they said, "Put in a Honda Distributor". I did. The code returned in 1 week. The spark plugs, and ignition wires were replace a year and a half ago. I've checked for continuity from the ECU to the sensor, everything is fine. I even pulled out the ECU, had it diagnosed, and everything was fine.
Here's my problem. I believe the sensor issue burnt up my old catalytic converter, had to replace it for SMOG reasons. I normally get 32 mpg, over the last month that has changed to 27 mpg. Lastly, there's an oil leak that looks like its coming from the Vtec solenoid but it isn't, I replaced the gasket and the leak remains!
Anything will help really!
