newbie!!!! Cylinder head question...!!!!

I just finished replacing my head gasket, which was a huge project for me. I got it started up yesterday and noticed a bit water out of the exhaust, which probably is just normal condensation, but I was wondering.... when i put the cylinder head back on, there were two sleeves that lined up the head and the block, my dad used a hammer with wood to cushion to wack them in the cylinder head....

my question is, could this of perhaps cracked the cylinder head? He didnt wack them in too hard, but he still wacked em....lol I just wanna be sure I didnt eff something up..

those are the dowel pins.

And I highly doubt he cracked the head.

The water in the exhaust is most likely just water that fell in there, or water that fell in the cylinders. If it keeps like this after a couple days, then I would worry...or, if you are overheating

agreed, probably shouldnt work on your car with a hammer to often, but i dont think you could have caused any damage..

the pins are ment to be in the block to hold the headgasket so it does not move when you put the head down. and you used a hammer on them i would get new ones have fun https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif
