i dont think that u r aware that the CX is equipted with honda all famous 8valve 4 cylinder engine that barely makes 80HP i believe but the power to weight ratio is basically the same so u dont notice it that much

Thats funny considering BOTH the CX's I've owned had moldings, and so has EVERY 96-00 Civic I've seen (unless they were shaved)

Alot of misinformation in this thread.

Welcome to Sunday night on H-T.

96-00 CX is a 96-00 DX with a lot of the standard equipment stripped out, which is why it's lighter (and was cheaper).

No radio or speakers, for starters. Though I forget what else they ripped out...

very true, up here in WI or anywhere they salt the roads you'll see most CX's have worse rust than other Civics..

and yeah side moldings weigh under a pound lol.

also I'm not 100% sure but CX's prob don't have a dash mat as well. And at least 5th gen CXs, maybe 6th gens as well don't have power steering

dx and cx have the d16y7 and they are nearly the same... the side moldings are insignificant you brain dead retards, you think that 3 lbs in plastic accounts for that weight difference, keep those gay *** comments to yourself... here is the bottom line, if you arent doing a motor swap into either, they are both slow pieces of ****, say no more

the cx is the cheapest version...the dx is alittle better stock vs stock.....in my 1st cx the motor barely hit 100mph and my 2nd dx hit about 120mph....so the motors a little better....and i believe dx comes with tilt wheel
