Default Cx steering rack into ex

Does a 2000 cx hatch manual rack bolt right into a 2000 ex coupe?

Yes, but is this just to get rid of your power steering? You can get two plugs and stick it in your regular steering rack's power steering holes.

yea it is but its too late for plugs, I took the lines off when i put the lsv-t in and left them open and now the rack has like two inches of play in it. so i'm just gonna replace it with a manual rack.

it will still get tight over time since there is no oil flowing through it.. if u have the opportunity its best to swap a manual rack in..

Usually you loop the lines with a breather rather than plugging the lines

Also, since when do you post in tech

Yep, manual rack turns easier than a depowered power rack. To swap in a manual rack you need the subframe and lower joint/knuckle from the manual steering column.

So other than buying the new rack I need the subframe out of a cx?

subframes are the same. you just need the rack and the U joint that connects the rack to the steering column. the EX spindle is bigger than the dx/cx one

Subframe is different, U shaped clamp is smaller for a manual rack, you can use the larger clamp and shim it up with something but for not that much more effort you can just use the right subframe.
