CX horsepower question
Lets say we have a 70hp cx motor. Then flood one cyliner with oil, blow a headgasket, and lose a quart of oil every 100 miles. Approximately how much hp do you think that motor is making now?

Re: CX horsepower question (97civhatch)
I'd say 50 too. Mine got so bad, that it spit out white smoke, and I need four quarts of oil every time I fill up. Lucky I work at a dealership where oil flows from the ceiling!!! We cx owners who buy these slugs before we have a motor in our garages are brave. Such a depressing motor, but mine has taken a beating.

Re: CX horsepower question (13HYBRID20)
Yea, hahahaha on the way home to OSU Sunday night I had to pull over to the side of the highway twice because my car likes to run on 2 cylinder's every once in a while. I'm going to be generous with my estimate of my motor's power when I say 55-60 for me. I think that I need new Piston Rings, New Headgasket, pretty much a new motor. I burn about 2-3 quarts every 200 miles.

Id guess like 43.2hp
