So this is what I did the last 2 weeks.


After I did a complete bondo job of the jams I painted these, cleaning of everything in the doors I started to reinstall the windows and I thought I did everything right but for some reason the window only goes up and stops 1 inch away from the top! not so helpful in the rain. I know this is something I assembled incorrectly on my part.


So hopefully this will be enough photos for some assistance.

on the largedoor photo, the red dots indicate the areas where the window roll up/down assembly is attached to the door.

Holy cow is this in the wrong section? someone has got to have had this problem?

Is the window glass jamming in the rubber side channels or is the regulator the problem?

No jamming at all, its the CX model so I have manual windows.

I thought maybe I reversed the left and right side as I re assembled it "people make mistakes" but that wouldn't work... I have no idea..

I have the service manual but that doesn't show me much.. it's "something stupid" I know this..

The picture below appears to show that the window glass is outside the rubber side channel on the right:

It's a funny angle

It is indeed in the groove.

But let's say for some reason it wasnt, the glass should still go up higher then that.

The glass looks misaligned. It's touching the window frame at the top right edge of the glass whereas there's a gap between the two at the bottom right.

I just went and looked at it,

The glass Is not off the track..

Both windows stop at the exact same spot 1 inch away from the top, when I look down at the gear it's at the end of its travel..

Boggles my mind!

are you sure the bolt holding the window onto the track is on in the groove?
did you try loosening the bolts on the regulator and winding the window up ?
if it worked before it should be good again.
