My CV joint broke and I lucky had auto class to fix it in...if you feel like saving 50 bucks and you like to DIY...try it out....wasn't that hard...all you need is a jackstand and a few simple metric tools. find a new CV joint/axle shaft at a local parts store (e.i. NAPA), search around for the cheapest. then jack that mother up:
You can find how to do it in a haynes manual......PM me if you have any questions

theres not many people around here that know how to do it. and i take full advantage of that. and thats not really a bad price. a shop will charge you list price for the parts. list = 99.99 plus 65 an hour for installation. theres 165 for only one side.

I had to replace mine on the drivers side. But instead of paying for the joint it's self and putting it in i just bought the whole axle it's self. It cost me like $80 and did the installation myself. It's really not that hard.

they're a little bit of a pain but not really that hard.. hardest part is getting it out of the nut that holds it in at the hub.
i'm probably going to have mine done but only because i'm having replacement shocks put in..
