i don't want to rain on your parade but our 8 valve motors only rev to about 5500rpms.

shift at 4000rpms because you are not going to win a race with that motor.

seriously though, i have a 94 CX. its not fast. its not worth it to make it go fast. motor swap is the only solution to this 8 valve motor.

In general, our civics are slow until you swap or FI.

i know its kinda slow, but its not that bad she hit the 18's with no tach, and her first race, not too shabby to me. oh yah... and she did win a race. Oh yah....
my question was..... if anybody knows where the 93 cx redlines.

The engine that you have in your civic cx is the d15b8 which is the weakest of all the 1.5l engines. Yes there is a difference in the 1.5l engine. I have the dx civic with the d15b7 engine that redlines at 6750 or so. I know that your car is slow as hell but thats no reason to think that something is wrong with the car. It is just one of the weaker engines that honda made for the civic
