Custom spring rate for GC sleeves on Tokico HP's for 00 civic
I have 00 civic coupe, since the GC kit is the cheapest option I have since I just bought tokico hp's, I'm gonna go ahead and ask this, GC lets me choose custom spring rates so what's the best/safest spring rate(I know it has to be super stiff) to allow the 2" drop while letting the shocks last as long as it can on that kind of drop, I'm ONLY expecting 2-3 years of shock life at least, it would be great if it will last longer than that. I drive carefully so I ALWAYS avoid bumps and potholes, I go really slow up curbs, and also the interior is pretty much stripped so it's lighter if it matters.

why are you driving up curbs?
anywho, why arent you asking ground control, they know better then most of the people youre asking on this board.

im running k sport ars 896 front and 487 rear pretty stiff but the handling, its ungodly. i mean really. its not badd for dd. i live here in missouri the roads arent the greates and i still do fine, what are you looking for in your setup? a dd jus lower and are you actually looking for proformance? if you going for the slammed look get like 550 front and 350 back. they will be a tad soft, atleast for my liking anyways

I have 500 front and 400 rear in my 1999 hatch, no weight reduction. If I could order the springs again, I would probably have gone with 500 front, 350 back. There just isn't a lot of weight back there. Anything around 500f/400r and you should be fine. Higher springrates in the rear are only for track cars IMO.
