Default Custom mandrel straight-through exhaust....DONE! pix0rz mang!

ok so i've been debating whether or not to go under-gastank for my new exhaust setup, and after seeing 20000 lexus/toyota camry's with under-gastank exhausts that hang lower than my ****, i decided to go ahead and try it...

parts needed...

about 6 ft of straight pipe (2 1/2 for mine, use yours accordingly for your setup)
one mandrel U-bend piece
apexi n1 muffler (or whatever floats your boat)
and of course, a cadillac converter

it's basically a STRAIGHT PIPE (no funky honda bends) from the cat all the way back to the gas tank, then it curves to meet your exhaust outlet's needs...

pretty simple, appx.$80 for parts and labor (muff not included)

it looks VERY low, but for some reason, it does not scrape going up semi-steep banks and doesnt hit on any potholes/bumps (yes my dumbass has tried)

yamaha r1 anyone?

oh yeah, and props to jake at asaa racing for the badass welds

That looks really good! Does anyone sell an exhaust like that? or would I be better off going to my local Muff Shop?

ok now say the gas tank was taken out.

how much higher could you get the exaust up there? would it be a straight un blocked path except for the rear subframe area?

i ahven't gotten the car up on the lift in a while and it's still sitting from winter ... i'm just coming up with exaust routing ideas

well with the tank out you could gain about 4 inches of clearance, but then you'd have to go below the subrame anyways, so....just go under it all

i just like it becuase it promotes maximum flow, straight through and out, no frills or fluff lol

i tried to get my local muffler shop to do it, and the guy was like " no, they won't let me do it b/c it would be like playing with your life." this comes from a guy who installs most of my exhaust systems for like 20-30 bucks. wtf?

you have a cat right??

I don't have a cat.....my set up might be too straight and I don't have any back pressure whatsoever.....:-(

That is the best way todo a cat-back exhaust system. The less bends the better..
