Custom Gauges? Do tell!
My DX HB gauges wernt doing it for me, so I put in EX gauges. That was fine and dandy, but now I feel like I want to "upgrade" again.
Contemplating just buying an Si gagues cluster, but if I can do something with what I got and save a couple bucks (what with xmas and all) then that'd be the thing to do.
So what I'm getting at here, is what have you all done or seen done to OEM gauges to spruce em up? I hate indiglo gauges btw.

If you do it right, it'll look OEM. Since you have an EK it'll be a ton easier for you. Search around.

that looks nice, but I dont know if I really want to go thru all that. I'd rather modify my EX gauges to resemble Spoon, EK9, Si, or maybe something totally different.
gotta say though what you did was crazy cool looking.

i did all my bulbs.... switched the 6 main ones to red L.E.D.S and then took the tint off all the signals and put a red transparency in. it looks good.

Thinking about doing something along these lines. My HB is sort of a "if they ever made an Si EK in the USA" thing. (the reason for the Si front, EBP, rear disc, etc) but I love the look of the EK9 cluster.
anyways, do you just paint the needles yellow, or do you put transparent tape behind the needles?

when i first got my eg it didnt have a tac, which i wanted.
i found a gauge cluster with a tac at a junkyard and for a couple months i tried to get a buddy of my who works in a print shop to design some new gauge faces for me
he didnt come up with anything to my liking and i didnt really have any ideas of what i wanted, just something different.
after awhile i decided to put the new gauge cluster in "for now" and we stopped talking about it.
that route didnt really work out for me but if you had a clear picture of what you wanted in your dash it could work out for you.
youd know for a fact you'd be the only one with those gauges too
just my 2 cents
