I think the color itself will be nice, but I hope you do it right and paint the jams and engine bay, or else it will be hellafied tacky if you pop your hood in public.

Why? It is a lot more work, and his engine bay is black and his
car is dark purple. Its going to be black and dirty eventually,
so whats the point?

I think the only color you can get away with not painting an engine bay is if the car started out black.
That's just my opinion...

never did understand why people are soo picky about color change and having to repaint the jams and engine bay when the colors are not that far off. i could understand if he was going from red to green then yes but the greens are just different shades although noticable not as tacky as extreme contrast as black and white. Tom i understand you are a perfectionist but this is just my point of view thats all.

Re: Curse you midori EK owners!!! (nextelbuddy)
dude teal and midori are WAY different. personally i would rather have a red engine bay in a black car than a teal engine bay in a midori car.

Re: Curse you midori EK owners!!! (Chris y0!)
i just looked at the pix above our posts of the teal green hatch and the midori and they are different shades very noticable but not noticable enough to pull your motor out to do the engine bay. liek i said just my opinion. if his car was blue and he wanted midori then yes i can see pulling motor out then. its all a matter of opinions.

Exactly.
The Midori and Teal are just different enough to make it look like 100% ****.
Sorry man, but if you're going to color change then do it right IMO. I struggled with that when I had my car painted because I was like "I either keep it red and paint the outseide, jams and engine bay or a do a color change the right way..." and IMO I don't think it could have turned out any better.
If you guys want to be sick check this out:
Guy comes in with a Maaco painted white hatch.
Pop the hood and what do you see?
Midori Green.
Now why in the **** do people ruin perfectly good colors when they could have just bought the same ******* car in the color they went to?
I can understand wanting a Midori Green EH, or possibly a Harvard Blue EJ hatch, but why do a half-*** color change to an already stock color?

naahh, a teal engine bay in a midori car will
stand out IMMENSELY, teal has a crapload ofblue in it, and midory is a very light yellowish green.
they are not similar and VERY noticeable
