I removed the front bumper cover.
Then the headlamps. (Also found out the previous owner had strobe lights in the blinkers) (I always wondered where those wires went)
Now to get them apart, you put them in the oven. Some say 225, some say 200. Some say 8 minutes some even say 10 minutes.
I went with 200 degrees at 7 minutes (got impatient). And it worked like a charm.....however, you might want to use some gloves at this part, even though it isn't that hot to hold, my hands are a little sensitive still after two days.
Pry them open with a screw driver and seperate the insides
Prime and paint. I used laquer because I wanted High gloss and there was not any enamel. I had to put on one good coat of laquer primer and 3 light and easy coats of the High gloss black.
Once you have painted them and they are dry. Reassemble them to where you are ready to put them completly together and put them back in the oven for 200 degrees at 7 minutes.
Once cooked push them back together making sure all taps are connected and then reseal with clear silicone. I did the entire edge but I don't think it was nessesary.
Total cost was $15.00 and about 4 hours of my time.

If you are refering to the lack of light from the beams, the car is at a face down angle and I am at the other angle.
Or, you could just be pointing out they really stand out
My camera added a boat load of color. The car doesn't look that good.

Spade, They look about as good as my 300 knockoffs, you should install a small L E D in the top and wire it to you ignition fuse for city light, Looks Dope!

Re: CTR's thanx to 99MRSI (ransack)
I painted mine a dark grey. However, I was kinda stupid and used bumper paint, so it is not glossy. I want to pull them apart and try spraying some clear coat in there to help make it shiny. Overall, very easy and it looks good, just wish I had done it right the first time.

Thanx. I just snapped a quick pic, when I got out of the car to shut the garage door and left the lights on. I tried to get one of the lights off in the parking structure but it sucked and I needed to get to work

You are notorious for taking dark pics...I am still trying to imagine what your seats look like in person.

Good job. I did mine black too, but now they look tacky IMO. When you paint them black the corner does not reflect that much. I'm going to try to paint mine gunmetal or dark silver and coat them with clear coat to get more of a CTR look. nice how-to.
