Default Re: CTR SWAP (PaulwitdaEK)

it will probably not pass at all since the emissions standards in Japan are night and day when compared to California. here some basic things u should kno if u want the swap to be legal in California

1. Motor must be the same year as ur car or newer
2. Must use a US spec ECU
3. Must have the Evap Canister in place
4. US Spec Intake Manifold and sensors must be in place
5. Stock Header and Stock Airbox. also, u could use an aftermarket intake as long as it has a CARB label on it. same goes for the header as well.

of course all this is used when u take the car to get Referee'd. once u get the BAR label, u can go back to all the goodies u had b4.

i kno i might have left a few things out............good luck with it tho.................
