CTR superchargers......Need some info and opinions!!!!!!
I have a 99 si that I just recently swapped a civic type r motor in which is completely stock except for CAI. I would like to supercharge the motor. No turbos, i realize this would gain more HP/TQ, but I also need this car for a daily driver and I dont want to deal with the mess of a turbo. I am new to the forced induction so any opinions or info on what is good or bad about supercharging a type r motor would be greatly appreciated. Also, I would like this car to be reliable and a daily driver, so if forced induction is gonna take that away from me, somebody let me know that it just isn't gonna work out for me and for what reason......I have however heard that JR Superchargers are very reliable and virtually maintenance free. Any info is greatly appreciated and please correct me if I'm wrong, I'm all ears. Thanks.

Type R's are not much for forced induction. I would stay N/A with it. They have the highest compression ratios of all the B series motors.
Oh and just because superchargers don't have as much pluming as turbos, doesn't mean they are easier. You will have to worry about getting it tuned, having a good fuel managment system, controling the boost level, just like a turbo system......

ok......i have just heard that turbos are messy if not done right and all that. Well, if forced induction isn't the key for a little more power, what is? I am open for suggestions on what a good setup would be for at least 40 more HP.

You could turbo it...but only low boost and you better have the BEST tuner, good gas and a large Intercooler, I wouldn't supercharge it...too much heat.
