CTR steering rack vs other Civic racks
Does anyone know whether the civic type R steering rack ratio and parts are different from the Civic EX/Si's rack? I'm looking to swap racks as everytime I turn the wheel, I'm reminded of my car's roots....looking for alternatives to swapping in something custom built by Quaife... And something that will make the steering ratio produce faster and more sensitive results from driver input.

not to mention its retard side drive. It wouldnt work to my knowlege.
rhd rack has the nub for the column on the wrong side for a lhd car. Maybe you can take the gears out and swap them.
The power racks have better ratios than manual racks. otherwise u would loose leverage to turn the wheel in a manual rack car. Most ctr had the manual rack. If not im sure they used the same as an itr.
The itr uses the same rack as 99+ integra ls, gs, rs, gsr. If u want a close ratio better rack, id suggest using a stock power 98 newer integra one, and loop it with a breather. That way it allows some airflow to pass and its a tad bit easier to turn.
I used the full 98 r crossmember and rear bracket in my ek. Works wonderful and i still have powersteering. I noticed a strong differance in driving with swapped uper control arms in front. The caster clearly helped on turning. That or some elf came and did somthing at night when i was doing the swap, cause its night and day differant.
