CTR Rear Seat Install ... Problem ...
Ok, I searched for this and couldn't find what I was looking for.
I'm trying to install the CTR rear seats in my 97 hatch, and they don't quite fit. There's these two metal brackets on the front of the bottom portion (these plastic caps go over them). They're positioned differently on the CTR seats than the stock seats. Even if I bend them back, the seat still kind of pops up on the front.
Is there anything I can do to make this fit right without taking off the skin and putting it on my stock seat?

Well, I figured it out on my own. For the sake of later searching, here's the modifications I needed make to have 100% fitment and working fold on CTR seats:
1. Insert a bolt and locknut on the inside hole of driver's side top half (to make a peg)
2. Bend the metal brackets mentioned above back, and flush against the foam.
3. Drill out the threaded holes where the outside USDM brackets for the top halves used to bolt in (the CTR seats have pegs on the outside).
4. Remove the plastic bushing clip on the inside of the metal eyelet arm in between the two top halves.

See now that looks pimptastic. No I got them from I believe hondabride while in Dallas one day for the cheap. I replaced the vinyls in my 92 hatch for some nice looking grey ones. I think they were from an ex or si but not sure. I have the rear carpet with them but no back covers.
The rustoleum is an idea though.

Ok I do have the seat backs. It is part of the rear carpet so thats cool. I guess I will have to install them now.
I like my seats though but not sure what they came out of. Will have to show pics of them later.

remove the sound deadening and give it a fresh coat of paint if your leaving it stripped

That's not stripped .... that's how a CX looks. I don't have the cardboard floor or the cloth that goes over it. It's the main reason I have a cargo cover

I don't feel the need to remove my sound deadening ... it serves a purpose:
