If the master cylinder in question is from a rhd car the brake lines will have to be modified to fit lhd.

Its important to use a tubing bender. If you try to ben the line too much with your bare hands you will kink it. Or just brake it ff all together.

I think some of the lines have to be extended too. There are a couple threads about this.

You dont need a tube bender
As long as you do it slowly and are careful you can just use 2 hands.

I have written a how-to for installing a jdm itr mc/bb into our lhd cars. Check the how-to post at the top of the forum (I think mine is on pg5)

yes your post was the one i was refuring to, i had a good heated debate with him about it not working, his did but ricey's didn't.

i have came to the conclution that honda didn't stay consistant on there MC's

if the ctr has abs it should be 1", if not i would guess 15/16"

how can u tell whether ABS or not? i figured that they were all non-ABS

where are you buying it from? couldnt the person selling it just look at the side of it and find out the size? why not just get an itr 1", that you are SURE is 1". i dont understand this.

Mine wasn't going to work, but it was off of a 96 JDM ITR. It was a 15/16th model and I decided to make it work (eventually) after seeing the great writeup. Even talked to my father about it and he has tubing benders that small.

But yes, I too am kinda confused about the inconsistencies in the mc/bb/prop valves in both the Civic and the Integra.

EDIT: I bought a 4040 prop valve as well and it doesn't look ANYTHING Like my stock prop valve. I'm going to have to rebend lines to make it work as well I think.

The fact that i am mating it to a civic brake booster is the motive behind my reasoning. as soon people have already pointed out:

...why not go with what was made for the car. I have a si mc as of now but i figured that the CTR was a little bigger and i got i for a good price.

if you have a 92-95 civic then itr booster and 1" mc will bolt up- only having to bend one line.

the gsr 40/40 prop will bolt-up with no modification, but only one of the two mounting bolts is used... this is not a problem b/c the hard lines keep it in place anyway.

I guess I can add something since I wasted everyones time posting.
I have a ctr 1" master cylinder and booster on my 92 cx. Bent the lines
with my hands, supper easy, wouldnt even consider it a problem. I think
that 96+ lines are on different sides or something, that would explain a
lot of confusion I think. When I get my camera back I may just make a
big *** brake thread, instead of the crappy one with all the different info.

yeah, that sounds like a good idea to me. i think that i got it all figured out now though.
