Re: CTR in GSR'S (93ejay1)
cause my builder who has built many cars told me that i dont need it, such as most other people like (steve at Hmotorsonline) who have all told me that the CTR exhuast cam is very similar to the GSR exhuast cam and so what ever small difference between the 2 wouldnt be worth the money. I got my intake cam for 239 shipped so unless i can find an exhuast cam for around 100 should imma pass on it. The next move to make will just be Skunk Stage 1s if im not satisfied with this set up

Why not just get the stage 2s? Stage one isn't much more aggressive than stock.

Re: CTR in GSR'S (JDM-97CX)
cause if i get stage 2s then i have to upgrade the valtrain and raise the compression. Upgrading the valtrain isnt really an issue, but raising the compression is be it that its not cheap and that at this point in my life i need to start saving and preparing for other things so dumping all my money into my car has to come to an end if u get what im saying.

Re: CTR in GSR'S (JDM-97CX)
cams with large profiles will only work well with high compression, just like JUN cams TODA too. you can only get their potential performance with a raised compression ratio

Thats why you learn to wrench yourself instead of being a wallet tuner.

**** that noise.
Mounting tires to rims is easy as hell too, and so is balancing them. But you dont do that I bet do you? Why not? Because you don't have the tools.
Maybe not every single person in the world has the tools or time to put together a engine in their garage.

Re: CTR in GSR'S (GetawayInMoscow)
lol i mount my own motorcycle tires,
2 screw drivers and lotsa soapy water
i'd rather spend all my money on nice parts, then learn how to put them on myself

Im gonna take a wild guess and say the amount of money it costs to buy a tire mounting machine is a little bit more than a torque wrench, a socket and ratchet set and a helms manual.

it would move the power band into an rpm range that is not achievable with the current combination.

Re: CTR in GSR'S (ham)
well im not gonna say that it's OK to run stage 2's at low compession, but i ran on a b20 block with 9:1 pistons and stage 2's and i made 195 whp. my buddy, put stage2's, hondata and i/h/e on his si and made 170 whp. thats not too shabby, so i don't care cmpression or not stage 2's arn't so bad with hondata
