For those who installed the C's shifter did you use number 7 in the diagram? I saw number 10 in the instruction diagram, but I don't think number 7 is used. I have been told it is used, but I really don't think it is. I have a feeling they installed it incorrectly. Number 7 surrounds the ball on the stock shifter. The C's does not have a ball, well it does, but it is surrounded in its own housing. I wish I could read japanese, cause the instruction diagrams are not helping much.

yes re-use the plastic ring.
unless you have c's shifter that has a metal part to replace it.
