Default Cry02 cryogenic kits, NOS kits ?????

My freind was talking bout getting cry02 for his intercooler.

Now can I get something like that for my NA set up. Like hook a line up on my short ram intake, right before the throttle body. I also was told 02 is not combustable, is that bad, or what, and would this give me a noticable hp difer at the track. OR would I be better off with a 50 dry shot of nitrous. I want something that is safe and now goin to screw up my motor, I have a Lsvtec stock block new head.

Help me out guys, what to do.

If you shot Co2 INTO your engine, you would lose HP.

If you used Co2 to cool your intake pipe, you probably wouldn't gain enough HP to justify the cost of the kit.

I'd say go with a Nitrous kit.

If you want safety, buy a new fuel pump before you install the N2o kit, and don't push that LSVTEC over 6500rpm. I also wouldn't recommend using nitrous and testing the limits of your engine in very cold weather.

CO2 put directly into your intake will kill your motor. I'm not saying it'll break anything, I'm saying it'll stop running.

The kit you are thinking of probably wraps around your intake tube and cools the actual tube itself, which inturn cools the intake air. I don't think the gains would be that noticible, at least not to jutify the extra weight and money spent on refilling the tank.

I was playing around with the idea of CO2 injection. I ran a tube from an old CO2 tank I had for paintball and directed the air into my intake. It caused my motor to shut off.

Think of it this way, you're basically suffocating your engine.
