CRX Si -> EJ1 Seat Swap Write Up?
I bought a pair of CRX Si seats to slap in my EJ.
Does anyone have a write up on how to swap the mounts.
I dabbled with it for a little bit and realized that you might have to swap out more than just the rails...
I'm fairly certain someone out there has a better idea of what they are doing than i do.

Out of all of the seat swaps I haven't heard of anyone putting CRX seats in a 92-00 civic... Does the seat have a pan? You might be able to do the pan swap like the s2000 seats. Otherwise I imagine it would require some welding...

first undo the little rings on the bottom of the back of the crx seats(its a plastic thing on the ek seats). after you undo them pull up the material and undo the 2 bolts on the side with the reclining mechanism. and the same on the other side.
next your gunna hafto take everything off the *** part of the seats till you just have the foam, seat material, and the metal pan on the bottom.
now undo all the little ring clips on the bottom thats holding the material tight to the foam and also holding it to the pans(two needlenose pliers work great). when your done pull the metal pans out of both seats. the ek pans will fit pretty well in the crx seats with a little work(and some curse words lol) then just stretch the material tight and reclamp it with the ring things. then reassemble the bottom(*** part) of the seats to the rails. and the backs will bolt right on just like the originals do.
hopefully this helps you out so you dont have as much of a hassle as i did. if you got anymore questions just shoot me a PM and ill be glad to help oh and if anyone is interested i can snap some pics tomorrow of the seats.

Funny, I saw a few sets of these seats at the junkyard and thought of doing the same thing. They're a compromise between comfort and function. Not quite as solid as a racing bucket, but I'm sure they're much more comfortable.
