Default CRV cluster in EK

hey honda-tech ppl

i just got a auto CRV cluster for free and i have read that you can put them into EK civics. Is it just plug and play? and does it even matter that the cluster is Auto and the car is 5sp. the cluster has RPMs speed cooling gas.

Why don't you just leave your cluster alone and sell the crv one on craigslist or something. Just my two cents. Don't ruin your perfectly good ek.

was it all plug and play or did you have to mod anything.

the person that i bought this car off of painted the needles yellow and got the yellow on everything and they put some stupid "TypeR" sticker on it. that was all done to the stock cluster so thats why i want to get rid of it

what are you talking about? if anything the crv cluster is way better than the stock ek cluster.. the stock ek cluster doesnt even have an rpm gauge..

The CRV cluster is plug-n-play in the EK. There will be at least one empty plug and that would be the Cruise Control so don't worry about having an empty port.

i'm well aware of what its from, but as far as i knew both dx's and ex's from 96-00 were still considered an ek, and the 99-00 Si is an em1. but technically ek would be the jdm/audm/edm chassis code. in actuality the 96-00 dx,lx,cx,hx, and ex are all ej's. so theirfore i conclude that although not all do, some stock EJ's do have tachometers

I think all the ones before K24's and R20's started going in them. So like 2001 or earlier.
