cruise control removal

cruise control removal
my cruise control doesnt work anyways so i was wondering what i need to do to removie the assembly next to the driver side motor mount. looked for DIY and searched. found nothing. anything will help and will removing it affect anything? Its in a 98 civic coupe with 2000 gsr. thanks

well I removed mine as well.
Removing the assembly is the easy part, all you need to do is unplug it and unbolt the black box and pull it out. I just cut the throttle cable.

mines not the black box, it has a few little hoses that come off it with the throttle cable. would i need to pull a fuse? thanks for your help.

okay i pulled out the assembly, now how do i disconnect the cable going into the firewall and what do i do with the little hoses that go to the intake mani. i just stuff a screw in the end of it. will i get any CEL codes?
