Cruise control cut off

Default Cruise control cut off
My 98 LX's cruise is acting crazy. I will just be cruising down the highway and the cruise will just cut off. So I disengage it and then try to reset the cruise. It usually won't work. Then, if I leave it alone for about 20 minutes, it will work again. Intermittant problems suck!

Does anyone know what is going on?

did you take a look at the wires? make sure they arent shorting out.
