Default Crower Stainless Valves breaking on D16Z6

With about 15k miles on my d16Z6 the top of one valve snapped (very top right at the lock) i got the valve replaced and now, 2,500 miles later another one brok the same way. Luckily it didnt drop alll the way and both times didnt hit the piston. Anyone know why this is happening? The head has crower springs, retainers, and valves with a Zex 59300 cam reving to 8,500 rpms.

BUMP!!! I've got crower springs and cam. Valves are skunk2 though... Has anyone else had bad experience with crower? I've always thought they were one of the better brands out there? Maybe your valve guides are shot. Did you get those replaced when you rebuilt the head?

Also, you should check the gap between the spring retainer and rocker arm.

Man, how do the serious problems always get ignored, but once somebody asks where you can get a cup holder big enough to hold a double big gulp, there's dozens of replies within the first few minutes!

Come on people, I'm in the middle of a rebuild, and I need to know if I should ditch my crower valvetrain. Can anybody speak on their experience with crower? Any ideas on why the OP is breaking valves at such an alarming rate?

I wish I could help you, but I have no experience with Crower parts. That's why you're not getting any responses - I'd guess there's 4 people on this board that can answer your question, while I imagine nearly everyone with a civic has had some problem with the worthless cupholders.

What is your valve lash set to?
What is your valve to piston clearence, measured 10degrees before and after TDC on the end of exhaust and beginning of intake?
What is your actual total valve lift?
What is your valve spring height when fully compressed?
Is your retainer hitting the valve seal?
Did you degreee your cam?
If so what is your intake centerline supposed to be, and what is it actually?
What is your lobe seperation angle? or LSA

Anyone that puts together an engine and doesn't know any of these questions can't expect their engine to hold up. Especially at 8500rpms.

I run crower stg2 in my h22a with crower valves/valve train and have been for 20-25k miles and haven't missed a lick yet. I rev to 8k, so I doubt it's anything to do with crower
