Crome and ITB ???
i was just researching about this Crome i am reading about.
i want to know how good is it ? Is it easy to use? can i do it myself (tuning i mean)?
I want to know what are all the things i need to do and get inorder to get be a crome user?
When compared to Hondata, is it really better?
next,
I want to know if GSXR 600 ITBs are a good buy to use with a B16 ?
can the GSXR throttle bodies be seperated and spacers be added like the GSXR 1000 or busa ITBS?
has anyone used them or can direct me to someone/somewhere that has?

as far as a tool goes Crome is very good. However the tuning is only as good as the tuner. I feel the Crome interface is as good as Hondata's interface, and in some ways it is superior. But you also ahve to consider that there is not tech support to call for Crome, it is a do it yourself deal.

Re: (v4lu3s)
with the Hondata s300 i can now connect the laptop to the ecu directly ( correct) no need for the emulators and rom editors?
will i need all of those with the Crome?

Re: (eg6madness)
i have come to find there is two types of crome, while they both use the same capabilities as far as tuning your car one is a chip you set and put in your ECU while the other is like hondata and uses the laptop plug in.
I used the basic crome when i got my turbo car dyno tuned (no data logging)
on my n/a car i got crome "pro", it was still dyno tuned by a local tuner but i can hook up my laptop and datalog
Only difference I have personally found between them is, basic crome was free to put in my ecu, i just had to pay for dyno time. Crome "pro" cost me arround 500, both do the same thing just one lets you hook up a laptop for personal tuning.

Re: (eg6madness)
Crome imo is very good...but I would recommend getting it tuned by a reputable tuner. Also, most shops can add a data logging port to the ecu you are chipping and putting crome on

Crome Pro cost me $150. and with the addition of DIY hardware and a rom emulator it allows for dataloggin (usually) and real time programming. I have yet to see an all in one RTP rig that is available at this time....im sure they are out there somewhere...
