pre. buy chip kit or parts to chip ECU, buy burner. To tune you will need a wideband, an ostrich or similer is recommended but not required.
1. remove ECU
2. http://www.pgmfi.org/twiki/bin...DMP30
3. create base map (there is a topic on PGMFI about this but I can't find it right now)
4. increase the idle resolution if you want to (good idea) http://forum.pgmfi.org/viewtopic.php?t=8651
5. burn to chip

to tune.... (you need Crome Pro or a datalogging software program for this)
6. add datalogging cable or connector to CN2(I think that's what it's labled, four pin connector, ~ center of board)
7. buy phone USB cable or TTL-RS232 converter to communicate to ECU from laptop.

I'm leaving out many steps so details can be filled in anywhere.

http://moates.net/ has everything you could need and more.
http://www.moates.net/index.php?cPath=25_37 <--- for the kit. Yes he called it an Uberdata kit, but it's the same thing.

to get it running on a base map...

get the kit, install it.
get a rom burner (moates.net sells those too)
download Crome and various plug ins that you want from PGMFI.org or tunewithcrome.com
create your base map (depending on your setup, search PGMFI.org for someone with the same type of setup or create your own using the OEM map directory - http://www.pgmfi.org/twiki/bin...Codes )
burn it into the EEPROM, install it in the ECU.
