creaky suspension / general advice
hey, i am new to HT. i dont know all that much about after market mods, so please help out where ever u can. i just bought my '97 civic ex a couple months ago. it has a d16y8 non vtec. 132,000 miles. here are all the mods its got so far:
Engine: AEM Cold Intake with Bypass Valve, Exhaust Muffler
Stereo: Custom Bo with 2 ESX Double Stack 10" Woofers, 2 Cadence Amplifiers, Panasonic CD Player, Hornet Alarm Keyless Entry
Suspension: AGX Adjustable Gas Struts, Eibach Sport Springs, Rear Camber Kit
Wheels: Einke Shogun 17"
Exterior: PIAA Fog Lights, Rear Taillights (not sure on model), Mugen grill replacement
Interior: DC Sports Short Shifter, MOMO chrome shift ****, sport peddles, 5 Window tint
Anyway, i have noticed that the rear end creaks when its listing (sorry Navy term) leaning or changing tilt angle or however u wanna say it. i was thinking about putting it some front and rear stabilizer/strut bars. i dont know if that would help it at all. i also want to replace the clutch and i have no idea which brand to go with. F1 racing, act, exedy?? another thing i wanted to do was turbo charge it. i have been lookin on ebay stores for most of the items. i think thats about it for know. please reply with any advice/opinion/criticism. TIA

the creaking noise could be a few different things. squeeky bushings, something in the aftermarket springs/shocks you have on your car, or even the stereo equipment in the trunk. Try getting one of your friends to rock the car back and forth and to move the suspension up and down and see if you can narrow it down.

i had an accord, bought a camber kit, and that caused a very annoying squeaking that i do believe you are referring to. i've heard many people talking about camber kits squeaking, the old ones anyway. this was many moons ago that i had my accord and had the camber kit on it. hope this helps ya out

Re: (delslowhonda)
do you know of any way to stop it? or reduce it? think stabilizers would have any effect? or do i just turn my music up louder... hahah

Re: (nvynuke18)
well you can try greasing it, but i never got mine to stop for good. it always came back. especially after washing out the inner fenders at the ol car wash. the newer type camber correction kits may be made differently and may not squeak. i drive a civic now and i don't use camber kits now. but my accord was way off when i lowered it, so i had no choice
