Default Crate Motors.....

Does anyone have a crate motor from Skunk2 or the Mr. Gasket/G-Sport "Beast" motor?
Are they worth the $6000 to $12000 dollars?
Not planning on buying one, just want to know about them.

If you have a working knowledge of hand tools and are **** enough to do it correctly, there's no reason you can't build the same things for half the cost. Also, you could find a TSX K24A2 with a 6-speed from Nikos and equip it with the IPS camshaft and valvetrain and come in well under 6 grand with much more to show for it.

There was a huge (wanna say about 3 pages) thread about the Mr. Gasket "Beast" a few months back. I think it got into Spoon and all that. Basically they are so expensive because they are under a warranty and if that is worth the extra cash to you then get one. Do a search and read the thread, it's actually quite informative.
