Unless you can do this all yourself, I would just get a different car, unless you just really want to keep your car.

Sounds like it is his fault so he will not get an insurance check. Especially if he has to pay for other guys car damage.
Anyway good luck with build. Rear wheel drive would be fun but if you have a nice setup already then get a shell.
Frame repair shouldn't be much more than a couple hundred $'s and the rest you could probably do yourself if you can find someone to tack weld your rad support.

Im with you on this one tofu. I rear ended someone and my hood, rt. fender, rt. headlight , front bumper and radiator support all have to be fixed. Oh and on top of that someone broke my back window and stole my radio. So im driving around with a messed up front end and no radio. Don't know whether to fix it up or sell it to someone for a G. I love my car and have had it for 5 years, but a new civic is starting to sound pretty nice.

Yeah, I had to throw down 2600 when I totalled my Honda to get it fixed. Plus 500 deductable, plus 500 buyback (low mileage add-on to price). So I put 3600 on a 4000 totalled buyout (hit a deer). So yeah, it's worth it, if you have the money. This was different though, it was your fault, so you have to weigh it w/ terms:
Is insurance going to cover anything or are you going to pay for it out of pocket?
Either way ur throwing down 2500 w/ repairs to the other person's vehicle which isn't bad (believe it or not). It coulda been a lot worse if you did more damage :-\.
I would, but in the end it's up to you....and what the insurance does...

Well I haven't seen his car but with small accidents and Honda frames being as weak as they are, you want to hook it up to a laser frame machine. Then you can tell if either of the rails are out of spec. Asside from that, I'd have to see how much and what kind of damage is done to decide if you want to do the work yourself.
Pictures would help on this one.

Re: crashed EG.....worth it to fix it or not??? (Syndacate)
If the front core support was damaged, it SHOULD be put on a frame machine...and no it dosent have to be a lazer frame machine. If you know what your doing you can very well hook it up yourself and check it with tram gauges. I would just junk that car, and pick up anoter clean EG shell for $1000 or less. You can get another EG cheap, part whats left of yours out, bring the shell to a scrap yard and get some money for that (they give $125 for any shell up here)

I think you should buy a new one if the title on your car is either salvaged or totaled. o.o;
My car was pretty messed up too, the whole front end was screwy. But I got the car for a really sweet deal. And I bought a 99-00 conversion from password that came with a carbon fiber hood and sir headlights. :] Either way it felt like a win win situation for me.
