Default CRANKSHAFT PULLEY WOBBLING...HELP ASAP!!!!!!

well im selling my car so i had a guy who came 3 hrs to come check it out. he looked it over and all was good. we then went out for a test drive. he loves the ride and is most likely gonna be buying. as soon as they left, i crank up the ride and hear a whistiling kinda noise. pop the hood and see the crankshaft pulley wobbling like crazy. so i pulled it back in my garage and im sick. its most likely gonna be sold and now this **** happens outta nowhere. now me and a friend were trying to get the crankshaft pulley off but the bolt wouldnt budge at all so i could put the new timing belt on. then my friend tried to ghetto rig it off and stuck a jack handle thru it to keep it steady and he tore a part of one of the lips. it hasnt given me any probs until now(about 400 miles). so my question is can this be fixed by just getting another crankshaft pulley and bolting it on, or did i **** up anything internally??? the motor seems fine and isnt making any weird noises or nothing and feels smooth. this had to have just happened yesterday. im not gonna drive it until this is fixed. im so ****** paranoid now...HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like time for a new pulley.

yea im pretty certain that i need a new pulley. my friend is gonna give me his stocker off his beater. my main concern is did anything internally get fucked up because of this?!?!??!?!??!?!?!?!? im shitting bricks right now because im scared. i just did a full rebuild on this motor and im selling it so this could possibly screw everything up for me.

Well I would hope not, but I still wouldn't drive on it since that is part of a balanced assembley and your timing belt is on it. Did you put the key back in when the crank pulley was bolted on?

I wonder what would be causing it to wobble like that.

im thinking the pulley is just bad. a friend broke/tore some of the lip on it while trying to get it off so we could change the timing belt. im guessing the balance is off on it.....
