Default Crankshaft Help

Ok guys here is the thing i was removing my tranny to swap it out and it seems i was leaking oil from the crankshaft side.i bought a new OEM seal but my dad is telling me that wont do that i need a seal with a sleeve since my crankshaft looks weared out and thats what caused the leak.Anyways does anyone know where i can get one of these so called sleeves?

nope never heard of them. and i think what ur describing is your rear main seal. and thats not a sleeve or whatever.

Yeah but there is a add on you can buy called a crankshaft repair sleeve.Its used when your crank has wear it goes over it to protect oil from coming out!
