Default crankshaft fluctuation sensor????

Can an 97 civic run properly without it? My underdrive pulley does not give enough clearance for it?

It'll run, but as eK9aT10pSi said, you'll be throwing a code all the time. It'll throw code P1337, CKF no signal. Your car will run, but will throw that code because your OBD-2 ECU looks for that sensor... you won't pass bar either. However, mine passed smog without it and the CEL light on.

Underdrive crank pullies are useless. If your trying to reduce rotational mass, the proper area of lightening is the flywheel. If you get rid of the harmonic balance, it will cut your engines life in half (it dampes the crank harmonics). If your trying to underdrive the accessories, the proper way is to replace the pullies on each accessory with larger ones.

There isn't anything positive that crank pullies do that can't be acomplised by other means.

Ebay special all the way. Love the Megan headers though.
