a harmonic balancer is a black rubber portion of the crank pulley that is sandwiched between the ring for the power steering belt and the ring for the a/c compressor belt. You have to look at the pulley closely to see it.

Now, I have heard that the civic CX crank pulley does not have a ring for the power steering and also does NOT have a harmonic balancer. Can anyone confirm this?

I am aware the the CTR N1 crank pulley does not have a harmonic balancer. Any others?

im pretty sure than no b or d seris pully has a harmonic balancer. take a look at an h22 or f20 or f22. there is a balancer on those engines and ive never seen anything even remotely similar on a b or d seris engine.

my d16y7 has a harmonic balancer.

Just walked out and checked it(it is off the car) Definetely a balancer.

It must look different on the b and d series...but it is surely there....anyone with any more info?
