crank pulley stuck ... cant get it off

Default crank pulley stuck ... cant get it off

so i need to take the crank pulley off a b16a2 ... i have the motor on the stand and already took off the bolt holding it in the center ... but it looks like the pulley is just stuck from never have been taken off before ... is there any tricks to getting it off or do i just need a bigger hammer?

So you got the bolt off, but the pulley won't slide off? Usually the bolt is the problem. Try a rubber mallet, as I wouldn't want to risk damaging the crank.

use an harmonic balancer puller.. rent one at autozone

X2, usually the bolt is the pita and whats it off the pulley will slide right off. Hope someone previously didn't tack weld the pulley to the crank. I have heard of people doing that before for some reason.

That pulley has never just come right off for me. I use a balance shaft puller to do it.
