Re: Crank pulley off (tigueremalo)
grab a screwdriver (a nice size one, not a skimpy one) . there is a opening on the bottem of the block where the flywheel is accessable, place it there. then grab the socket size and a breaker bar and pry away.

he doesn't have an impact gun.

hell no, jack the car up, where the block meets the tranny there is like a little opening, you'll see the teeth of the flywheel, right there.

search for it on ebay.
better than jamming stuff in the flywheel, the possibility of ******* **** up is too much.
do it the right way. </TD></TR></TABLE>
trust me, a screwdriver is not going to mess anything up on the flywheel or the block for that matter. now if he forgets to take the screwdriver out and starts the car, well that's a different story.
and the crank pulley tool i found at autozone for $15.

Your choices are:
1.) air gun
2.) wedge in the flywheel and huge breaker bar
3.) proper crank pulley tool
4.) chain wrench around the crank pulley and huge breaker bar.
Odds of victory:
1.) high
2.) very low - you will usually shatter the breaker bar and/or socket and/or wedge and/or hurt yourself
3.) very high unless you're a *****
4.) high - but you will probably mangle the crank pulley
There, dumbass. We've given you your options. Your final course of action is "take it to a shop where they're not as ******* stupid as you" but I'm sure that's not what you want to hear, now is it?

use the screwdriver method its sooooooooo easy! ive had to take many off use this way, or you could take a c-clamp and clamp the pully to the block (theres a spot behind it) both very succesful and easy, as far as a breaker bar or impact gun i stick a strong ratchet on with impact socket grab a tube and place on ratchet, get on the floor and push with your leg. its proven to work!
