I have custom built stainless 2.5inch exhaust pipe. Just this morning I found out a crack just before the resonator. It's hairline thick, but very long, around 12inches or so. Is it ok if I just have it welded instead of buying a new pipe?

Also how long would it take to weld the pipe? The reason I ask is because I'm at work and the only time I can have it welded is during lunch break...I'd like to have it done today coz I can't stand the noise...thanks!
