Default Cracked Exhaust Manifold vs. Plug O2 Sensor holes?

I am doing an engine swap (JDM into domestic) and I was supposed to be able to reuse the exhaust manifold; however, I now see that it is cracked through the iron right where the top O2 sensor screws in.

The JDM manifold will fit it (obviously), but the old O2 sensors won't plug into it.

With the cost of an actual replacement (96 Civic DX) coming in at $350 http://www.partstrain.com/store/?PN=...D(universal:0) I would rather not actually replace it. (Note the fact that the Cat is incorporated into the exhaust manifold)

The routes I'm looking at are:

Headers, no O2 sensors http://www.partstrain.com/store/?PN=...D(universal:0)

JDM manifold with Cat, O2 sensors plugged (free)

Old manifold with O2 sensors... or buy one from someone on here.
Emissions aren't an issue in Oklahoma, so I think, legally, I'll be fine.

Will no O2 sensor kill my mileage (with headers, then same question with the cat and plugged O2 sensor holes)? I know about CEL, and I'm OK with that.

You should be able to unscrew the O2 sensor from the JDM O2 sensor and replace it with a 4 wire USDM O2 sensor.

The engine will constantly run rich without a primary O2 sensor. That's bad both for gas mileage and for the engine.

The primary O2 sensor (which I assume is the top one) fits the jdm Cat/Mani fine. It is the lower O2 sensor that is much too small a hole for the US lower O2 sensor to fit in. So if I leave just the top and plug the second one... is that any better?

Thats not a second O2 sensor, JDM OBD2 vehicles don't have them, its a temperature sensor for the catalytic converter (something we don't have in north america) if the cat overheats an indicator light in the guage cluster comes on, just leave it there to plug the hole. You will need to have a bung welded in after the cat for the secondary O2 sensor.

sorry... what is a bung? i understand them to be corks... and will it work if it is welded into the pipe further down (not in the CAT converter?)

The threaded hold the oxygen sensor threads into, its known as a bung
