CR-V Steering Rack?

CR-V Steering Rack?
Anyone ever try to swap in a 97-01 CR-V steering rack in a 96-00 Civic? It mounts in a similar fashion and the lines come off the back as well?
It has 16.1:1 ratio and 3.1 LTL, very close to the 16.1:1 & 2.98 LTL of the Integra. Much better than the 17.7:1 and 3.7 LTL of the Civic.
This way you wouldn't have to swap an EG / DC subframe in to make use of the DC rack.
Thoughts?

Re: CR-V Steering Rack?
Yeah, actually after browsing the Honda catalog A LOT of the steering racks seem like they might work mounting wise. The hoses would have to be looped and you'd loose power steering, BUT you could get a MUCH better ratio. I mean technically it just needs to match up on the driver's side mounting tabs and to the steering joint. The other mount is "movable".

Re: CR-V Steering Rack?
As a matter of fact, the CR-V uses exact same mounting brackets by part # as the 96-00 Civic.
The line locations look identical. Just for reference:
96-00 Civic - 17.7 Overall / 3.6 LTL
94-01 Teg - 16.1 Overall / 2.98 LTL
97-01 CR-V - 16.3 Overall / 3.1 LTL
So the Teg has a SLIGHTLY better overall and LTL, but the CR-V is still a MUCH better improvement over the Civic WITHOUT the subframe swap...
