couple of questions...
so i just picked me up a steal. guy was getting deployed so had to sell fast. i got a 96 hatch cx with b16 swap with sk2 cams and venum gears. still had the papers on the engine. had 47k on it when bought and he put another 30k on it. full sk2 suspension short shifter gsr leather interior with gauge cluster and the climate control has been switched to the 99-00 si controls. now for my questions. dont bash me to bad. ive been a prelude guy for the last 10 years and decided it was time to make that change.
1. the gauge cluster i think was out of a gsr. its just sitting in there not mounted. so i think i need to just get a si cluster right?
2. the oil pressure sender unit is not hooked up. it doesnt burn oil or leak at all nor smoke but im weary on it not being hooked up. i would like to know if im low on oil or something like that. the oil pressure switch is on it but there is no wire or nothing that i can tell that would go to it so do i just need to wire it straight to the ecu. if so i need the pin outs.
3. another thing. i dont know how these cars come stock from factory but i have the power mirror controls but they done work. also there are power locks but dont work either so just wondering what i need to do about that.
4. i have a misfire a low end. its actually a cel on that. i changed the plugs wires rotor button and cap but its still missing just a little. should i play with the dizzy and advance and retard the timing that way. or actually maybe i just check the marks on the gears. he may have advance the timing on the gears. i dunno any suggestions would be great.
5. can you not use fog lights on these cars. there is no cut out on the bumper. my friend suggested that i do the 99-00 conversion. but i was wondering if i can i just change the front bumper and put on a 99-00 bumper without changing the hood lights and fenders. i just want to throw some fog lights on it.
ps im looking for a civic cluster and selling the gsr cluster. or maybe we could do a trade. looking for some jdm fog lights as well
