Default Couple more Mini-Me Questions

Well, I've almost got enough information to get started on my Mini-Me swap. I do have a few last quetions though. First off, I'd love any advice or tips from people who have put a d16z6 head on a d15b7. I want to know what problems to look out for, etc... The main concern I'm having is hooking up the new distributer correctly. I don't have a Helms (yes, I know I should get one) but I do have the much cheaper Haynes, and they talk about putting piston #1 at TDC (Top Dead Center) and feeling for compression and a whole bunch of other stuff. Does anyone have any simpliler instructions on how to do it?

Finally, this may sound really stupid to a lot of people, but I figured I'd ask. I'm getting ready to buy the head real soon, but won't be able to get the rest of the parts needed or actually do the swap until my winter break from school. How should I store the head until then? The last thing I want is to buy it now and have it be ruined by the time I install it. Also, another possibly stupid question... Do I need to put lube or anything else on the parts before I put everything back together?

Please don't bother flaming me for stupid questions. I know everyone out there started learning at some point.
