Generic pipe off ebay and get a K&N filter when the filter that comes with the pipe goes to crap. There's a ton of info about this stuff out there if you search around.

Yeah there are many options but I would suggest the INJEN CAI dynos or at least the ones I have seen and been around show greater gains and more consistancy even after the motor has been run for a while and gets hot.

Choosing between Injen and AEM is like choosing between J-Lo and Beyonce.
You know both will do the job, and look damn-good while doing it, but which one performs better when the lights go out?
You'd have to try J-Lo and Beyonce to get the real answer.

Or just get a whale ***** and screw them both.

They are all going to yield the same amount of power. Power that you will never notice.

I think most D-series Throttle bodies are smaller than a B-series, so it all depends. Either way all you need to do is rig a gasket and it should work.

I'd get an eBay 2-piece CAI and get a K&N filter. That way you can use it as a short ram or a CAI.

i have never seen an intake that doesn't fit on the throttle body, especially when his throttle body is one of the smaller ones. what engine the intake is made for doesn't mean much.
You obviously can't read.

What kind of intake gasket are you referring to? He never mentioned changing the throttle body to a bigger one.

Ok idiot look at your first response. You suggested an intake for him. Your response was posted after the OP posted again asking "can you use an intake system from another CAR like a B16 to D16". And if you knew any better you would know that the throttle body on a motor such as a D15Z1 (VX engine) has a tiny *** throttle body. I would know because I had one and now I have a B16. When I installed my intake on the Z1 the gasket (that holds the intake to the TB) was way too big for the throttle body so I had to rig it. I used the SAME intake for my B16 and the TB on the B16 is much bigger. Hence why I mentioned the whole throttle body post.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by IHateJDM &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">What kind of intake gasket are you referring to? He never mentioned changing the throttle body to a bigger one. </TD></TR></TABLE>

And since an intake attaches oohh i dont know ONTO THE THROTTLE BODY!!! I mentioned intake fitment onto the throttle body, not switching throttle bodies. So again LEARN TO READ!

once again, READ

I have seen a b16 intake on a d15 without any problems or need to switch TB's. That has more to do with the intake than the TB, diff brands are diff sizes. You obviously don't have the same brand intake as the one I saw. These posts are no longer any help to the original poster, so this will be my last reply in this thread. I don't doubt that you had to modify yours to make it work, but just because you had to in your specific situation does not mean that it is always so.

Ok I understand, it won't be a problem to put an intake on from one engine to another (especially from something with a bigger TB onto a smaller TB which you have suggested) but that isn't the point. I never said anything about "switching TBs". The point of our little arguement here is you suggested an AEM sr intake when that isn't what he was asking.

So to the OP yes you can very possibly fit an intake from another car onto your engine, but you might (MIGHT) have fitment issues. And if this isn't what you're asking then my apologizes to IHateJDM.
