Is it just me or did you just paint a racing stripe on your valve cover? Although, clean swap by any means.

looks like he's using it to filter the air coming out the valve cover and back into the intake..............super clean air i suppose?

he's using the fuel filter to filter the oil coming from the top of the valve cover into the intake tube.....very good idea btw!

A fuel filter filters fuel. Hence, FUEL FILTER. Whether the fuel filter can actually filter out crap from the crankcase, I do not know. If he's worried about dirty air being sucked back in the intake, he ought to get one of those 'apc breather' things, thus eliminating any chance of crankcase gasses going back into the intake.
