it matters what system you are speaking of.. some Coupe/Sedan Exhaust mufflers are just simply to large to fit in the rear area of a hatchback.. while some systems have longer piping and can be cut to fit
example: G POWER EXHAUST from Tanabe.. the coupe/Sedan Muffler is 6-8 inches longer in length compared to the Hatchback Version... I know from my own experience

the coupe exhaust is about 5" longer. You'll have to hack the piping towards the back. Actually I had to have a muffler shop do some custom bending for me to make it fit. The muffler was never straight either. It pointed down towards the back. This was 98DX hatch I put a 96-98 coupe exhaust on. True, it was a Paceshitter cat back but it would have done the same on a Greddy.

Re: (IslandSi)
I am running si exhuast on my ek hatch, had to cut the end off the piping after the muffler to make it fit, only problem is that the bend in the piping isnt dramatic enough and it hits the lca. so it clunks when you hit a large bump. So you might want to get some custom bending on that becuase it drives me nuts. Other than that look for ctr exhuast. Let me know if you find a good deal on them
