i posted before about my Ej8 and me ripping the type r front lip off on the freeway....
^^ theres a before picture.
when i bought the front lip.. it already came in that black color so i just strapped it on.....
today i bought another fake r lip... but it's white... ... what kind of paint can i use on this... ABS type lip?

find this stuff at pepboys called pitbull. its a prep for plastic and makes the paint stick. Trust me it works. Spray it on and let it dry, a couple coats will do. Then spray on some flat black or whatever. I used the pitbull stuff on my OEM sideskirts and the paint sticks way better than on my rear lip which i sanded AND primered. When i wash the car, the paint comes off the rear lip but is rock solid on the side skirt. PITBULL and paint it.

possibly painted?

check how low his front is to the ground. i'm sure a good dip/bump on the freeway can rip it off. considering the speeds you can go on a freeway (55-80mph).
hm i think i'll try what deviant1 said too. always wondered it, but kept forgetting to look it up

haha ok well heres the reason it ripped off...
1. late to work
2. high speeds on the freeway
3. semi-truck rubber... laying in the middle of the fast lane
4. didnt want to jump out of my lane and kill somone so i went right over it (at about 85mph )
5. it was gone. =[..
but hey! i got the new lip.. and the new blackhouseing headlights .. so the civic should be comming back any time now=]

Re: (drewthomas14)
That's just too funny man because the exact same thing happened to my EJ8 with my Type R lip. The problem I found with that lip is that the clips don't hold well enough on the bottom and if you hit ANYTHING, it will fly right off. For my second lip, I bought the Mugen lip which I found a lot easier to install and uses 4 screws instead of 2 screws and 2 clips. As far as the paint is concerned...I repainted both my front and rear bumper using Krylon Plastic Spray. I recommend it hands down. It's about 4 dollars a bottle but well worth it. Anytime I get chips in my bumper I mask it off and re spray it and surprisingly enough it looks VERY close to taffita white stock. Below is a picture of my car with the Type R lip. The bumper completely resprayed with 1 can of Krylon Plastic Spray. The Type R lip came already painted white. Good luck.
