p.s. can you also tell me what the different gap sizes between the fender and the tires could indicate?

I think 'bad taste' is the reason for painting those wheels.

Do you guys really not know what clamping is?

It's either A) getting booted, or B) that big machine shops use when they remove/install tires. A wheel clamp. On alloys, you're always supposed to use the exterior lip clamp. On steelies and over-sized wheels, you use the interior grip clamp. If an idiot tech goes and interior clamps your 15" alloys, it'll damage them. No, paint won't fix that.

Either way, what deschlong said. The paint is due to bad taste. The car not sitting level is due to stupid PO.

I wonder why there aren't up close pictures? Did you inspect the wheels yourself or were these lifted from a for-sale ad? That would answer your question real quick. Wheels get painted all the time. Most in not so flattering colors. Others to try and color coordinate like we did back in the 90's.

I'd be MORE concerned about that lopsided stance.

Concerned about the lopsided stance? I wouldn't be concerned about it...I'd be walking away from it.

lol

PO probably just either put EJ6/8 rear suspension on, or sleeved it for the "raked" look, which is good for RWD, but horrible for FWD.

Offer them $1800 cash and use the rest to buy new suspension/wheels/tires.

jbpnoman, what's PO? and is it the reason you would just walk away from this car?

Previous owner. I'd walk away. The way it looks now is an indicator that this car was not properly taken care of.
So did you actually LOOK at this car personally?

How about you just hold all questions until you've actually inspected it? It's not in your possession and your question is not technical at all, just speculative.
