Default could this cause a tranny grind or issue?

My b series tranny has a slight 3rd gear and 5th gear grind. I am planning on getting all new syncros in the near future and i was wondering if this leak could cause my tranny to start to grind or for the clutch not to compress all the way? I am speaking about the black fluid leaking from the ball area.

Thanks in advance

well my third gear grinds even if the clutch is compressed all the way and the shift is perfect. Could this leak in fluid be a sign of the master cylinder failing?

could? IT is a sign that the master is failing. replace it.

You'll need to replace the clutch master cylinder. This will remedy your situation. I had the same problem.
