Default Cost of used transmission?

I ma looking for to see how much a transmission would be with around 50K miles...a 5speed that goes on a '00 civic ex coupe. just the transmission itself, not the cost of installing ot or anything. any info would be helpful.

Alot of people are selling d-series trannies with grinds as beign perfect. Pay the premium, get it from someone reputable, or you might just end up rebuilding it anyways!

this might be really dumb to say but i always thought it woudl cost like a thoudand dollars for thoe types of things to have someone else put it in and all. is it very hard for someone to do themselves?

i did my own tranny swap about 3 weeks ago and figured out it was just time consuming. it took about 6 hours just to get the new transmission on. probably because im a noob but i would stay away from paying for it to be done! grab a friend or 2 and take a saturday and do it! not too hard

scale from 1-10 on difficulty (1 easy, 10 hardest) about a 5-6
